One of these days, I’m going to find archives of all my blogs ever and compile them into one big journal. Most of them are long gone, because I had my CGI hosted on a variety of different domains before I realized I could host it on my own, and those domains have since shut down, but occasionally, I’ll find posts stored in an HTML file or saved on archive.org, and it’s really entertaining to see what I was writing about back then. And then, of course, I’ve had my LJ since March 2004, which has provided endless hours of amusement ever since.
Since I haven’t created an “About the Site” page or anything like that, I’ll explain this layout. Sooo, basically, I have zero artistic talent, but I sat down one day and scribbled some squiggles and then scanned it in and colored it using Photoshop, and I’m actually really proud of how it turned out. Everything on this layout was created by me (well, fine, I did not design the fonts, and I didn’t invent HTML or create Adobe Photoshop, but, you know…), as opposed to my former layouts involving celebrity photos manipulated a bit with some text pasted across them. I know it’s not a stunning layout or anything, but I’m just proud to have put so much work into it. (I’m sure it would have been better to exhaust those efforts on something like, oh, I don’t know, schoolwork, but, clearly, web design is way more fascinating than that).
Also, I really don’t like the appearance of post titles, so I think I’ll change that soon. Of course, if I mess around with that, I’ll spend hours messing around with other stuff and never get anything productive done.
Lunch time, yay.
